The Barricade RV-10 is a semi-automatic electronic revolver 2010 N-Strike Blaster that holds 10 Whistler Darts. It is the first N-Strike flywheel powered blaster. There is a special pack of this blaster that has the Barricade RV-10 detachable stock. Streamline Darts don't work well in this blaster, however, as their dart heads are too small for the flywheel.

Review

Description-The Barricade RV-10 is Nerf's first flywheel powered dart blaster. The only main problem of it that how much noise it makes, killing any chances of stealth or ambushes.

Range-8.5/10-It gets good ranges for a flywheel blaster of up to 35 feet.

Accuracy-9/10-The Barricade is very accurate.

Reliability-8/10 9/10*- The Barricade is a reliable up to a point. If you have an itchy trigger figure then this gun will jam after three or four shots. The standard version does has an upside; it can use any ammunition that is found on the ground.

With aftermarket modification this can prove better then a side arm and fill in the role of sub-machine gun. However it can then only use the smaller streamline darts.

Rate-10/10-It can fire as fast as the trigger can be pulled. However, range can decrease quickly if fired very quickly. This is because of the friction produced will slow down the flywheels. To achieve maximum range, fire one or two darts per second to allow the flywheels to reach maximum speed.

Specialized such as the trustfire series batteries can remove the issue as stated above.

Overall-9/10 9.25/10*-The Barricade RV-10 is a great sidearm and is worth its price.

Trivia

  • It is called the Auto Barricade RV-10 in Japan.
  • This blaster was ripped off by a Chinese Company called "Leyuan" and it was renamed "Raging Fire". All Nerf related images were removed and it comes with a cheap plastic scope and stock. A "Barricade RV-10" can be seen on the revolver housing on both sides.[1]
  • It was first released in Australia.
