The Blast Jets Plane is a type of ammo only released with the Thrust Launcher under the Blast Jets brand in 1989.
Details[]
The Blast Jet's body is made of foam, with a plastic tube core that slides over the blaster's barrel. Oddly, the weighting of this ammo is actually backheavy, as it is designed to look like a jet more than fly like one. The jet features many small paint features and a set of stickers on the main tail fin.
The type of foam used is unique in the sense that it is more in line with modern squishy foam toys than foam ammo.
History[]
This type of ammo was released with the Thrust Launcher and discontinued with it, despite the blaster's re-releases. However, it shares its plastic core and possibly its foam type with the Blast Batarang.
Because of where its patron blaster went, the Blast Jet can be seen as a predecessor or ancestor to the Missile.
Trivia[]
• It is not compatible with any version of the Glider Launcher except for the 9651-unpainted version.
• It is compatible with other variants(mostly) in the NB-1 line up outside the Thrust Launcher, but works best with the Thrust Launcher and Batarang Blaster.
