Redirect Merge Planned
Hey guys,
I wanted to let everyone who is still helping out on this wiki that the local staff have abandoned this wiki. I also wanted to inform you all of another wiki that is a bit more active, its the Nerf Wiki. This wiki is also going to be turned into a redirect over to Nerf Wiki and will no longer exist.
There really isn't much of anything that is worth moving over but if you do have any thoughts please do post in the comments a link to any article or file that you feel is worthwhile. The Nerf content has already been merged over in case anyone was wondering.

Heartbleed discovered - Change your passwords!
A recent encryption breakdown has caused OpenSSL to experience a security lapse, known as "Heartbleed", which went undetected for two years. Heartbleed is able to expose one's passwords and other sensitive info like Credit Card numbers. Luckily, you will get a popup saying that the website is affected by Heartbleed. So please, change your passwords ASAP.

An Epic Dream
Last night I had this really awesome dream. It probably would only make sense to those of you who play COD, though, but I'm sure a lot of you do. At least I think. Either that or you know a hell of a lot about military combat, vehicles, firearms, etc.
Well, anyway, here goes.
Basically in the dream, I was playing COD in real life... except you were using Nerf guns. To give you an idea, in the dream, there was such a thing as a Nerf AC-130 that fired Nerf missile projectiles, Mega Darts, etc. Every single gun was upgraded with realistic rpm, a realistic action, (example: bolt-action, semi-auto, manual priming, etc), realistic capacity, more range, and all that other what not, except for the fact that the gun was still, well, techinically a ne…

Rapidstrike Mod Finished!
YES! It's done, and... Oh god, it looks like an actual gun now. Better fix that...
Rapidstrike Mod Almost Done!
I'm almost done modding the Rapidstrike! Basically, to make the blaster shoot farther, I used a more powerful motor to spin the flywheels. Unfortunately, the flywheels couldn't take the speed and they flew apart while testing the blaster. Luckily, the blaster wasn't damaged. Since the flywheels got screwed, I decided to make custom reinforced flywheels... Out of metal. Yeah, I know, I'm crazy. This turned out to work, improving the distance by roughly 20 feet. (I have no idea of the exact number. I didn't measure.) It did make the blaster a bit heavier, though, but it shouldn't be too bad, since it was only by about maybe a half a pound to a pound and a half. Knowing the guy I'm making this for, he should have no trouble carrying it. Anyw…
Recently Got A Modding Request From Someone
Recently, someone asked me to mod a gun for them. Geez, I haven't done this in a while, but I think I have an idea of what they want. Hmmm... When they said "make it shoot farther" I think they meant replace the spring with a more powerful one, reinforce plunger, remove air restrictor, yada yada yada... Yeah, and all that other what not... Waaaaiiiit a minute... No, that can't be right, because it's a Rapidstrike... Good god, what the hell am I thinking? Well, I guess it should be fun, because I actually haven't got much modding experience with flywheel systems! I guess it should help me get back into the game. Wish me luck, I guess? ^^;

Who is NSA335?
As you may be wondering, who is NSA335? Well, I am just a normal person, who has autism (Yes, I never revealed). I am one of the more active users on the wiki, and one of the commanders of the N-Strike Squad.
A lot of people know me as Grunty, A lot of people know me as Grunty89, A lot of people know me as HLTF, but from now on, you guys will know me as NSA335. I have a good friend named Reuben (who is from Australia), who wants to join but his parents are against him joining.

I've been collecting retro-computing and retro-gaming stuff longer than Nerf stuff. The oldest computer in my collection is an early Commodore Vic-20, but I have more 90's stuff than 80's stuff.

Mega Nite Finder
This is an initial fitting and mock-up of what will (hopefully) be a Mega dart coversion of a Nite Finder, using 11/16" hobby brass as a barrel material.
So far, I am pleased with how easily the initial fitting is going.
The goal is to make it look like it was made that way from the manufacturer.
I started with a brand-new Forest Green and Grey model that I got a good deal on.
I had already removed the air restrictor and barrel post. There were no other modifications previously. The plunger tube assembly was not originally glued together (only newer Nite Finders are glued together).
I cut the brass to 3" length with a tubing cutter, so that the cut end is absolutely square with the barrel. I used a medium-sized tapered file to widen the cut e…

Well, guys, it's been a while since I've been here other than to ban a few users, however you've really made some kickass improvements. The wiki's up and running again, and is probably even more active than the other Nerf Wiki. It's really cool to see the wiki back up to its former glory again, but most importantly, congratulations on making it to 1000 pages! That's a feat I was never able to accomplish, but now it's been done! Great job, guys, really awesome to see.

NESClub Mini-blog Goes Live!

I've been thinking that my site needs a little more publicity. I'm a n00b so basically I don't know C++ or HTML code. But at least I have my own way. My Totally Weird Review System
Somehow, I do not follow the regular review system (which is to calculate all 4 numbers and then find the average). Instead, I use my quirky review system, which requires me to calculate the range and then judging what is the overall score from 1-10 instead of finding the average. I have been using this system ever since I started reviewing blasters. So please do understand my quirky system of reviewing.

Review System
Okay, we need to establish a rating system here. I've seen 38 feet get a 6/10 and an 8/10, we need to be more organized. This is what I propose for ranges and ROF's.
10/10 - 50 feet. A blaster should be able to go above and beyond expectations for it to be worthy of a 10/10.
9/10 - 45 feet.
8/10 - 40 feet.
7/10 - 35 feet.
6/10 - 30 feet.
5/10 - 25 feet. Face it, the Maverick's 25 feet range is mediocre at best. It isn't exactly worth a 7/10.
4/10 - 20 feet.
3/10 - 15 feet.
2/10 - 10 feet.
1/10 - 5 feet. I don't think any blasters will get a 1/10 but still, we will have to enforce it just in case.
RATE OF FIRE
10/10 - One shot per 0.30 seconds or less.
9/10 - One shot per 0.60 seconds or less.
8/10 - One shot per 0.90 seconds or less.
7/10 - One shot per 1.20 seconds …
