The Chainsaw is a 2014 Nerf Z.E.D. Squad melee weapon made by Perpatual Play Group. As the name suggests, it is modeled after a real chainsaw. There is a "try me" symbol on the packaging, which points to the green buttons on either side of the chainsaw. Pressing on the green button activates fake chainsaw sound effects. For the first time in the history of Nerf melee weapons, a reverse tactical rail is seen on the grip, which allows people to take the Chainsaw and attach it to the rail of a blaster.
