The Double Dealer is a 2016 Nerf Doomlands 2169 blaster that is able to hold up to 24 Doomlands Darts in two 12-Dart Clips. It also can hold 2 more clips on the stock. The Double Dealer is a double-barreled Nerf blaster, similar to a double-barreled rifle with a foregrip. The Double Dealer is the first side-by-side double-barreled Nerf blaster introduced in a few years, not counting the Rhino-Fire, and is the first side-by-side double-barreled blaster to fire two darts at once, without the ability to fire one at a time. The blaster cost 39.99 USD when first released, and earned mixed reviews from critics. The blaster sports no range claims on the box.

Description[]

The Double Dealer is a side-by-side Nerf blaster resembling a rifle. It has a yellow body, similar to most Doomlands blasters, a clear jam door, orange barrels, gray foregrip with yellow handguard, and a gray pistol grip. The weapon has a gray stock that is able to hold two more clips, and has two horizontal magazine wells for two clips to slide into. The blaster comes with either a gray or orange trigger depending on the region.

Internals[]

DoubleDealerInternals

The Double Dealer's internals not what one would expect of double-barreled springer blasters. The weapon has one direct plunger, rods, springs and catches. There is a large slot cut into the bottom of the plunger which serves no real purpose other than to reduce its power.

Position in Theme[]

The Double Dealer acts as a pseudo-shotgun in the lineup, due to its two barrels.

Blaster Co-relation[]

There are not too many blasters that one can compare the Double Dealer to. One could compare the Double Dealer to 2 Rampages or Alpha Troopers.

Faults[]

Like most other blasters, the Double Dealer has faults. One of the major faults is that the Double Dealer is plagued with a lot of reliability issues; the Double Dealer is known for jamming very frequently, along with being extremely underpowered and highly inaccurate for a Nerf blaster by today's standards. The Double Dealer is also notorious for having ergonomic issues; when two magazines are stored in the stock, there is no real comfortable way to hold the blaster.

How to Fire[]

Step 1 - Pull the pump backwards.
Step 2 - Load both clips into the blaster.
Step 3 - Push the pump forward.
Step 4 - Pull the trigger to fire two darts, or hold the trigger and rapidly jerk the pump handle back and forth to slam fire.
