The Electric Eel is a 1997 Nerf Max Force 2112 blaster that holds 4 Mega Glow Darts. It is no longer available for purchase because its home line has since been discontinued. When it was introduced, it retailed for about $24.99. It got good reviews when it first came out.
It was originally part of the Max Force line, but was moved to Max Force 2112 in 1997.
Details[]
Named and designed after an electric eel, this blaster features a clear four-dart clip in which darts are loaded. The included darts can be equipped with special stickers that allow them to be lit up by the Electric Eel's flash bulb system, which flashes when the blaster is fired. The clip had to be clear, in order to allow the darts to absorb the flash bulb's light as they are shot from the blaster.
While a clip-fed blaster like the earlier Sawtooth, it uses a priming rod instead of a side bolt.
How to Fire[]
Step 1 - Load four darts into the 4-dart clip.
Step 2 - Load the clip into the blaster.
Step 3 - Pull back the rod to prime the blaster.
Step 4 - Pull the trigger to fire it.

Trivia[]
- The Electric Eel can be considered the spiritual predecessor of the Firefly REV-8, as well as other modern blasters that use glow-in-the-dark ammunition, such as the Rayven CS-18 and the Lumitron.
