The Foam Disc is a discontinued type of Nerf Ammunition. Even though Nerf no longer manufactures these, Lanard and Buzz Bee still produce blasters that fire them. When produced, they were considered the worst ammunition at the time. There are three distinct variations, all of which only work with their parent blaster.
SuperMaxx Disc Shooter Disc[]
These discs are the largest discs ever produced under the Nerf brand that aren't targets. They are very large, thick, bright yellow, and have dense foam. 6 were included with the parent blaster, which held 6 discs. These are generally thought to perform the best.
Disc Shot Disc[]
These discs were used with their parent blaster the Disc shot in a unique way, as they would be inserted sideways onto the top of the handle, and then 'flung' towards a target. They appear to be made out of similar foam to the 'camo' fins of various ammo types, and are actually rebrands of a Koosh product that was exactly the same. Eight were included with the launcher, which could only hold a single disc. It is unknown how well they performed.
Motorized Disk Launcher Discs[]
These are the smallest discs in diameter(being exactly the same as a Ballistic Ball) and possibly the lightest. They were only included with(and compatible with) their parent blaster, and are generally seen to perform the worst, mainly due to their low mass. They have to color variations, with the standard being a red/pink and yellow swirl design and a simple solid color red/pink disc, which is seldom seen outside of advertisements and catalogs. 20 were included with each launcher, which could hold 10 discs, the highest capacity of any Nerf-brand disc shooter not in the Vortex series.
