Description

The Super Soaker Aquashock Hydro Blitz is the largest blaster released by Hasbro Inc. in 2007. Unlike the Super Soakers seen in the past several years, the Super Soaker Hydro Blitz has rather unique styling and features. As well, the Super Super Hydro Blitz is also the largest Super Soaker released since the CPS 4100 in 2002.

Review

Description - The Hydro Blitz is a very big Super Soaker that holds up to 3.05L of water. It is quite intimidating and powerful, and is one of the better weapons in the Aquashock series.

Range - 10/10 - 35 feet as claimed on the box is quite good for a Super Soaker. Ranges for the water salvos max out at 20 feet, but are deadly at close range.

Accuracy - 8/10 - It has a great blast of water, which improves accuracy. The continuous stream is extremely accurate, while the water salvos will disperse into a shotgun-like effect.

Reliability - 8/10 - While minimal, its flaws include its overall weight and that the secondary firing chamber's water supply can be hard to empty after lots of use. Over time, the blaster's cap may leak, rendering it useless over a few years.

Capacity - 10/10- It holds a good 3.05L. The stream is continuous and the pressure tank allows for up to 7-8 salvo shots before re-pumping.

Overall - 9/10 - A very good blaster especially for its size, and even better with modifications. Also quite heavy and hard to use in a pool unless properly supported. Able to mow down ranks of enemies.

Trivia

  • Its wasn't initially very popular, so prices can rise to be quite high online.
  • It was easily one of the most expensive water blasters around.
