The Khaos MXVI-4000 is a Nerf RIVAL series blaster that was released in the Fall of 2016. It comes included with a 40-round magazine and 40 High-Impact Rounds. It retails for 69.99 USD.

Details[]

The Khaos MXVI-4000 is a motorized, flywheel system blaster in the RIVAL series. It is capable of fully automatic fire, and has two RIVAL-type tactical rails, one on top, and one on the bottom. It also has flip-up sights on the topside tactical rail.

Position in Theme[]

The Khaos act as a heavy, full-auto primary weapon of the RIVAL series.

Blaster Co-relation[]

The Khaos uses a conveyor belt mechanism for its feeding system, not unlike the N-Strike Elite series HyperFire. It is also the second flywheel blaster released in the RIVAL series after the Zeus MXV-1200. The Nemesis MXVII-10K also uses a conveyor belt, albeit complimented by the agitator system that grabs rounds from the blaster's 100-round hopper.

Faults[]

The main fault with the Khaos is that it takes 6 D-size batteries, meaning it is pretty heavy. In late 2016, Hasbro released a rechargeable battery pack for use in the Khaos, fixing this weight problem.

Another major complaint, is the fact that Hasbro does not sell 40-round magazines separately. This makes the reloading process of the blaster a real chore. One trick to reload the 40-round magazine faster is to use a 12-round magazine for a speed-loading technique.

How to Fire[]

Step 1 - Load 6 D batteries or the RIVAL rechargeable battery pack into the blaster
Step 2 - Insert 40 High-Impact Rounds into the 40-round magazine
Step 3 - Load the magazine into the blaster
Step 4 - Hold down the acceleration trigger, then hold down the trigger to fire the blaster

Trivia[]

  • The Khaos MXVI-4000 is named after Khaos (also spelled as Chaos), who is the first of the primeval gods in Greek mythology.
