The Proton is a 2011 Nerf Vortex Blaster that can hold 1 XLR disc at a time. It is primed by pulling back the priming mechanism on the back of the blaster, similar to the Nite Finder. The disc is the loaded into a socket and a lever is pushed to put the slide back into the blaster, priming it.
