The Pyragon is a solid blaster, beating out the Praxis as the new fan favorite. Be prepared to fork out $40 though.

Trivia

  • A Hasbro employee somehow got a Pyragon long before it was released. The employee's son's channel, cckuczerkids, decided to make a review of the blaster itself. Unfortunately, the video was taken down from YouTube. The channel BasicNerf reuploaded it onto YouTube. Until June 15, 2012, this was the only video of the Pyragon that had been released to the public.
  • During the night of June 14–15, 2012, Hasbro released a demonstration video of the Pyragon on their website. The video is still available, at least to some people.
  • A Pyragon was spotted on TaoBao.com.
  • Many stores don't care about the release date and release the Pyragon, along with the Elite blasters as soon as they get a shipment.
  • According to Basic Nerf, the Retaliator shoulder stock will not work with it.
  • The word "Pyragon" seems to be a combination between the words paragon (a person of exceptional merit) and pyro (pertaining to fire), which matches the Pyragon's flaming color scheme.
  • The Pyragon is known to be the strongest Vortex blaster. This is because it has an extremely strong torsion spring.
