The plunger tube was the source of the injuries
The Recon CS-6 recall was an event that took place in 2008. This recall was about the plunger tube which, before the latest model, had no black bar at the end of it and instead had the plunger tube exposed. It could tear someone's skin if the plunger caught hold of one's fingers. After this had occurred several times, Hasbro issued the recall and took all remaining stock of the Recon CS-6 off of store shelves. Only blasters purchased from November 2007 to August 2008 were affected. Later, the Recon had a black damper attached to the plunger tube, thus, reducing its performance.
