The Rip Rockets series was a successful attempt to make smaller Nerf dart blasters for more people to enjoy, and all for a lower retail price. The line ran in 1993. It was then followed up by Hyper Rip Rockets in 1994 and Ambush Rip Rockets in 1995. The line was resurrected in 1996, albeit briefly.
It was in this line that the Micro Dart was first introduced, and were referred to as "Rip Rockets".
