The Strongarm uses a direct-plunger system, potentially allowing for high ranges. This applies to most other N-Strike Elite blasters as well. For a blaster of its size, and even when compared with some other large blasters, it has a very long range. The Strongarm is a well respected blaster in the Nerf community.

The Strongarm is Nerf's take on improving a Maverick's power, essentially modifying it and giving it a somewhat new tooling.
Ammo: Elite Darts
Pros: Range is excellent, accuracy of Maverick is retained, slam-fire capable, virtually never jams, turret drops out further than Maverick, priming indicator, scalloping of the rotating cylinder makes it easier to clear jams
Cons: Barrel rotates on trigger return, making it impossible to fully load it without utilizing the barrel drop, can't use streamline darts, sometimes just doesn't work.

Reliability:

Nerfipedia epic win
The Strongarm is a very powerful weapon, almost scoring full marks in all categories. Because of increased rate of fire, jamming problems are reduced, making this a more fun blaster to use.

Trivia

  • This weapon was released earlier than expected, in December 2012, along with the Firestrike aand Stryfe.
  • This weapon was initially leaked out to the public on July 28 2012 by an eBay seller. A bidder won the buy with an absurdly high bid of $1125.01.
  • When the blaster fires, a plunger gets forced forward. When looking at the side of the Strongarm, when firing, something jolts forward then back again.
  • The barrel will only turn when the blaster is primed.
  • The blaster has a lock that when the barrel-drop is being used, the blaster can't fire.
