The SuperMaxx 5000 is a 1998 Nerf SuperMaxx blaster that holds 3 Ballistic Balls, 3 Nerf Arrows and 5 SuperMAXX Darts. It is no longer available for purchase. It retailed for $24.99. It had received poor reviews.

It is a re-release of the SuperMaxx System 2000/5000 (Xtreme), and is effectively the same blaster, except that it was modified to fire Nerf Arrows and Ballistic Balls. But, like the original, it used SuperMAXX Darts.

History:[]

It was released in 1998, but was not carried onto further lines, and was never re-released, likely due to the ease of losing the attachments. As such, it has become very difficult to find one that has all of the attachments to this day, and they can go for over $150 on eBay. The red re-release of the SuperMaxx 350 is still rarer, however.

Trivia[]

  • SuperMaxx 5000s, along with their counterparts like the SuperTech 9000, are known for being notoriously powerful when modified. Most of modified 5000s and 9000s have the ability to shoot through soda cans and many layers of cardboard with Stefans, and as a result were banned from many Nerf wars.
