The Super Rocket 100 is a blaster that was released in the Super Air Master series in 1993.

Details[]

The 100 is an extremely powerful single-shot air blaster in a unique form factor, as it is designed for shooting rockets straight up in the air, rather than at another person. As the name implies, it can shoot the included rockets over 100 feet vertically.

The barrel is on top of the blaster, and next to it is a red button, which is the trigger. The trigger has a ball-bearing lock in it which is meant to prevent the blaster from being fired unless pointed up. However, this can be easily bypassed. The barrel itself is compatible with Elite Missiles.

The pump and air tank are opposite of the trigger button, and the blaster takes over 30 pumps to get to full pressure.

If using Elite Missiles, at full pressure the blaster is so powerful that it can actually blow them in half on occasion. This blaster can shoot Elite Missiles over 110 feet horizontally. The included rockets get less range horizontally, but the same or more vertically.

History[]

The Super Rocket 100 appears to have a short-lived history. Despite initially being advertised with other products, it was released by itself, and discontinued with the advent of the SuperMAXX series. However, the Super Rocket 100 likely played an important role, as it is the one product to predate the original Supermaxx series, and is likely the reason Supermaxx existed as a whole.

Even before Supermaxx came onto shelves, the 100 was likely taken off for safety reasons, as it is an incredibly powerful blaster with a much too simple and easily passable lock.

Another problem is that the seal and air release can get stuck open on occasion, causing the blaster to be unable to pressurize. The only known solution is to quite literally grab the blaster by the outer pump shaft and firmly smack the blaster onto something soft yet firm handle-first. Something like a car wheel or softer ground can work.

Trivia[]

- The 100 is the only released air-powered blaster to predate the Supermaxx series.

- The Super Rocket 100 is one of the few blasters to have a button instead of a trigger. Another example is the Secret Strike AS-1.

- While the Super Rocket 100 and 60 were both advertised with the Supermaxx and even the SuperMAXX Xtreme series, no physical examples exist that suggest these were ever released. Furthermore, there is no evidence to suggest the 60 was released at all.

- The Super Rocket 100 is one of two blasters to feature a ball-bearing lock, with the Titan AS-V.1 being the other. However, the Titan's was to stop it being fired vertically, as opposed to the 100's being to stop it from being fired horizontally.

- The Super Rocket 100 is very likely the most powerful stock blaster in history, rivaling the Titan AS-V and the Ultimator.
