The Super Soaker 200 is a 1991 Classic Super Soaker Larami Super Soaker that holds 2.05L of water. It is no longer available as its home line has since been discontinued. It is classified as an air blaster with a separate pressure chamber.
Description
The Super Soaker 200 is a large rifle-sized soaker, with a red body, green reservoirs, yellow pressure chamber and a red pump handle. The pistol grip of the soaker is contoured to allow for better grip. The Super Soaker 200 was also the first Super Soaker to have a nozzle selector with three settings (labeled I, II, and III), though very inconspicuous, and featured a dual-reservoir system, a shoulder strap, and a separate pressure chamber for maximum soakage.
It is a very large Super Soaker and the biggest out of the original three soakers: the Super Soaker 50, Super Soaker 100 and itself.
Internals
The Super Soaker 200 has internals standard for air blasters for its time. It has a pinch-tube trigger, hoses, a separate firing chamber and an air pump among other things.
Blaster Co-relation
The Super Soaker 200 was the first blaster to feature a dual-reservoir system, which would form the basis of later designs, such as the XP 250.
Faults
Like most other blasters, the Super Soaker 200 has faults. The main fault with the soaker is that it is rather weak compared to blasters of today, due to its small nozzle; the Super Soaker 200 has been outclassed by more powerful weapons of a similar size. However, it is still a decent choice for small to medium skirmishes.
How to Fire
Step 1 - Load the reservoirs with water.
Step 2 - Load the reservoirs into the soaker.
Step 3 - Pump the blaster 30-40 times; 40 times is recommended if the blaster has been sitting unused for a long time.
Step 4 - Pull the trigger to fire a stream of water.
Trivia
- The Super Soaker 200 appears to use the body shell of the Super Soaker 100, bar a different pistol grip.
