A torsion spring seen on some Vortex blasters.

A torsion spring is a spring that uses torsion force, or winding force, to compress. The torsion spring acts as the force behind the firing mechanism in some Vortex blasters. When a Vortex blaster is primed, the spring uses torsion force and winds up and compresses itself to store power. When the trigger is pulled, the spring snaps forward, activating the internals and firing the blaster.

Trivia Edit

  • All Vortex blasters use helical torsion springs.
  • The Pyragon has an extremely powerful torsion spring, which makes it the most powerful Vortex blaster.
